Frisse en levendige rode wijn van Dolcetto druiven uit de Langhe wijnregio in Piemonte, Noordwest-Italië. De wijngaarden liggen op de zuidwest geörienteerde, glooiende flank van de heuvel vlakbij het domein van Chionetti, binnen de cru San Luigi, in Dogliani, ten zuiden van de Barolo regio.

In the San Luigi cru, Giuseppe Chionetti bought the family's first vineyards in Dogliani in 1912. On this slope the soil is redder and more fertile: the 'red earth'. It gives a smooth, juicy Dogliani, a very pure expression of the grape yet still elegant, and a real pleasure to drink young.

Martina and Nicola Chionetti, with Alessandro, are the fifth generation of the Chionetti family in Dogliani, in the Langhe, where Dolcetto has always taken centre stage. Each wine comes from a single vineyard (cru) and matures in large wooden casks (botti), steamed rather than toasted. Since 2015 they have also made exceptionally elegant Barolos.
