Elegante en sappige rode wijn van Sangiovese druiven uit de Montalcino wijnregio in Toscane, Centraal-Italië. De wijngaarden liggen op de noordelijke flank van de heuvel van Montalcino, op een hoogte van 300 hoogte.

Sferracavalli is the second wine of Le Chiuse's Brunello. During the harvest, part of the juice from the Brunello grapes is drawn off and set aside. Once the Brunello has fermented and been pressed, that juice is poured over the pressed skins, where it ferments in turn; the wine then matures for eight months in new large wooden casks (botti) of Slavonian oak. The result is a juicy, approachable Sangiovese with lovely red fruit.
