Complexe en volle rode wijn van Primitivo druiven uit de Salento wijnregio in Puglia, Zuid-Italië. De wijngaarden liggen vlakbij de gemeente Copertino in de provincie Lecce.

Capuccini comes from Primitivo vines averaging over 50 years old, which Marulli still grows as traditional bush vines (alberello), without irrigation. These old vines give few but concentrated grapes. The result is a rich, soft Primitivo with plenty of depth, made for hearty dishes.

Since 1975, the Marulli family has made refined, approachable wines near Copertino, in the heart of Salento. Their 20 hectares are spread over smaller plots, each dedicated to one specific wine, with its own vine age and pruning method. They grow Negroamaro, Primitivo, Chardonnay and the local Verdeca.
