Barolo DOCG Parussi 2021

Powerful and rich red wine from the Barolo wine region in Piemonte, north-west Italy, made from Nebbiolo grapes. The vineyards lie in the Parussi cru in Castiglione Falletto, at around 200 metres.

Parussi in Castiglione Falletto is Chionetti's lowest-lying vineyard, facing south and south-west, on marl full of fossil shells. It gives a powerful Barolo with a firm structure that rewards a few more years in the cellar.

This Barolo DOCG Parussi 2021 pairs perfectly with rich, hearty dishes, poultry or game, or as a meditation wine.

Martina and Nicola Chionetti, with Alessandro, are the fifth generation of the Chionetti family in Dogliani, in the Langhe, where Dolcetto has always taken centre stage. Each wine comes from a single vineyard (cru) and matures in large wooden casks (botti), steamed rather than toasted. Since 2015 they have also made exceptionally elegant Barolos.
