Dogliani DOCG La Costa 2020

Refined and elegant red wine from the Langhe wine region in Piemonte, north-west Italy, made from Dolcetto grapes. The vineyards lie at over 400 metres on the top of the hill next to the Chionetti estate, within the San Luigi cru in Dogliani, south of the Barolo area.

La Costa is a particularly refined Dogliani. Chionetti gives this wine at least two years, including a period in large wooden casks (botti) of French oak, before it goes on sale. The result is a Dolcetto with a long finish that shows just how much depth this grape can have.

This Dogliani DOCG La Costa 2020 pairs perfectly with an Italian cheese and charcuterie board, fine cured meats, pasta with tomato sauce, roast (white) meat, roasts or simply prepared red meat, or as a meditation wine.
