Intense and lively red wine from the Monferrato wine region in Piemonte, north-west Italy, made from Barbera grapes. The vineyards lie in a natural amphitheatre at 500 metres, surrounded by woodland.

Anyone wanting to discover Barbera in its purest form will find a textbook example in Maria Teresa. Isolabella della Croce ages the wine only in stainless steel and bottles it in the spring after the harvest, so nothing masks the character of the grape: juicy red fruit and freshness, with Barbera's lively acidity as its backbone. Pure, honest Piemonte in the glass.
