Elegant and complex red wine from the Alto Adige-Südtirol wine region in Trentino-Alto Adige, north-east Italy, made from Pinot Nero grapes. The vineyards lie in a unique terroir at 630 metres, at the foot of the Dolomites.

The Motta family only makes the Riserva 680 in the best vintages. Its name refers to their highest vineyard, at 680 metres. The grapes are picked and selected by hand; after fermentation in wood, the wine matures for eighteen months in small wooden barrels (barriques) of French oak and another two years in bottle. The result is a soft, remarkably elegant Pinot Nero with superb structure that evokes the mountains in all their beauty.

This Alto Adige DOC Pinot Nero Riserva 680 2020 pairs perfectly with white meat, poultry, fish, red meat or cheese, or as a meditation wine.

The Motta family, including brothers Francesco and Filippo, swapped Rome for the beautiful Alto Adige wine region at the foot of the Dolomites to follow their passion: winegrowing. Since 2004 they have tended 3.5 hectares of vineyards on steep slopes at 630 metres, surrounded by woodland and nature reserves.
