Marche Fiano IGT Koris 2020

Complex and rich white wine from the Castelli di Jesi wine region in Marche, central Italy, made from Fiano (85%) and Verdicchio (15%) grapes. The vineyards lie close to the estate.

With Koris, Vigna degli Estensi turns to Fiano, a grape originally from Campania, complemented by Verdicchio. The wine matures for nine months on its fine lees, partly in stainless steel and partly in small wooden barrels (barriques), and then for two years in bottle. The result is a full, soft and elegant white with a long finish. And the name? Koris is ancient Greek for 'helmet' and, because of its shape, also for 'hazelnut': the aroma typical of Fiano.

This Marche Fiano IGT Koris 2020 pairs perfectly with beef carpaccio, vitello tonnato, fish starters, pasta with vegetables, main courses with white meat, poultry or cheese.
