Rosso Piceno DOC Aestus 2020

Powerful and rich red wine from the Rosso Piceno wine region in Marche, central Italy, made from Montepulciano (70%) and Sangiovese (30%) grapes. The vineyards lie at 100 metres, with relatively young vines averaging 10 years old.

Aestus is Vigna degli Estensi's selection of Montepulciano and Sangiovese. The wine matures for nine months in medium-sized wooden casks (tonneaux) of oak, then two years in bottle. The result is a complex, elegant red with firm yet fine grip: a true wine for savouring.
This Rosso Piceno DOC Aestus 2020 pairs perfectly with red meat, grilled meat, game, mature cheeses, or simply on its own as a delicious meditation wine.
