Chianti Classico DOCG 2021

Elegant and juicy red wine from the Chianti Classico wine region in Tuscany, central Italy, made from Sangiovese (90%) and Merlot (10%) grapes. The vineyards lie in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the north of the area, at 320 metres.

Villa Vallacchio's Chianti Classico is Sangiovese complemented by Merlot. The wine matures for four months in small wooden barrels (barriques) and then six months in cement. The result is a textbook Chianti Classico, just as it should be: elegant and juicy, with concentrated red fruit, and a wine in which you can truly taste the terroir of these hills.

This Chianti Classico DOCG 2021 pairs perfectly with an Italian cheese and charcuterie board, fine cured meats, melon with Parma ham, pasta with tomato sauce, roast (white) meat, roasts or simply prepared red meat, glazed pork belly or ribs, or as a meditation wine.
