Franciacorta DOCG Cuvée Imperiale Brut

Traditional-method sparkling wine from the Franciacorta wine region in Lombardy, northern Italy, made from Chardonnay (90%) and Pinot Nero (10%) grapes. The vineyards lie in the province of Brescia, home of the famous Franciacorta, Italy's answer to Champagne.

Cuvée Imperiale Brut is Berlucchi's classic: Chardonnay complemented by Pinot Nero, from the finest vineyards in the 19 municipalities of Franciacorta. Ten per cent reserve wine from the best vintages goes into the cuvée, and after the second fermentation in the bottle it matures for at least eighteen months on its lees. The result is a full, clean Franciacorta with fine bubbles, a fresh, fruity touch and a hint of bread crust. 

This Franciacorta DOCG Cuvée Imperiale Brut is perfect as a festive aperitif or with starters of fish, rice or pasta, white meat or fresh cheeses.
