Franciacorta DOCG Cuvée Imperiale Max Rosé

Traditional-method rosé sparkling wine from the Franciacorta wine region in Lombardy, northern Italy, made from Chardonnay (60%) and Pinot Nero (40%) grapes. The vineyards lie in the province of Brescia, home of the famous Franciacorta, Italy's answer to Champagne.

For Cuvée Imperiale Max Rosé, Berlucchi complements the Chardonnay with Pinot Nero, which stays on its skins for a few hours for colour and aroma. Ten per cent reserve wine goes into the cuvée, and after the second fermentation in the bottle it matures for at least two years on its lees. As an Extra Dry, it has a soft, round character: a full, velvety rosé with red fruit and ripe stone fruit. 

This Franciacorta DOCG Cuvée Imperiale Max Rosé is perfect as a festive aperitif or with charcuterie, cheese, shellfish or even desserts with fresh fruit.
