Piemonte DOC Pinot Nero Bricco del Falco 2017

Elegant and complex red wine from the Monferrato wine region in Piemonte, north-west Italy, made from Pinot Nero grapes. The vineyards lie in a natural amphitheatre at 500 metres, surrounded by woodland.

Pinot Nero is one of the most demanding grapes to grow, but Loazzolo offers exceptional conditions for it, especially on the cooler east- and west-facing slopes. Isolabella della Croce even planted a very densely planted vineyard here, La Vela, and completes the fermentation in small wooden barrels (barriques) of French oak. The result is a delicate, elegant Pinot Nero that is remarkably versatile at the table.

This Piemonte DOC Pinot Nero Bricco del Falco 2017 pairs perfectly with pasta, fish starters or smoked salmon, poultry, white meat, pork or veal, or as a meditation wine.
