Etna Bianco DOC Contrada Blandano 2019

Complex and rich white wine from the Etna wine region in Sicily, southern Italy, made from Carricante (90%) and Catarratto (10%) grapes. The vineyards lie on the south-eastern slopes of the volcano at 450 to 550 metres, with the oldest vines (vecchie vigne).

Contrada Blandano comes from one of the most significant crus of Viagrande. Terra Costantino uses Carricante and Catarratto from very old vines here, with deliberately low yields, and matures the wine for several months in large wooden casks (botti) and then in bottle. The result is a complex, full Etna Bianco with depth and a mineral finish. No more than 3,000 bottles are made.

This Etna Bianco DOC Contrada Blandano 2019 pairs perfectly with an Italian cheese and charcuterie board, fine cured meats, white meat, cheese, or simply on its own as a meditation wine.
