Riviera Ligure di Ponente Pigato DOC Arcana Bianco 2023

Complex and rich white wine from the Riviera Ligure di Ponente wine region in Liguria, north-west Italy, made from Pigato grapes. The vineyards lie between 350 and 450 metres, near the village of Dolceacqua, close to the French border.

For Arcana Bianco, Terre Bianche selects the finest Pigato grapes from its Terrabianca vineyard, where the soil is white clay and blue marl containing marine fossils. The estate deliberately keeps yields low, picks only at optimal ripeness and leaves the wine to rest on its fine lees for a long time. This long rest gives the wine extra depth and texture, and a very long finish.

This Riviera Ligure di Ponente Pigato DOC Arcana Bianco 2023 pairs perfectly with fish dishes in a rich (butter- or cream-based) sauce, white meat, poultry, roast cockerel with fruit, or simply on its own as a meditation wine.
