Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG Alberta 2021

Elegant and complex red wine from the Chianti Classico wine region in Tuscany, central Italy, made from Sangiovese (95%) and Merlot (5%) grapes. The vineyards lie in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, in the north of the area, at 320 metres.

For Riserva Alberta, the Sangiovese, complemented by Merlot, matures for ten months in medium-sized wooden casks (tonneaux) of French oak and six months in cement, then another three months in bottle. The result is a deep, elegant Chianti Classico Riserva with a touch of oak, fresh acidity and a long finish. The wine bears the name of Alberta Caini, who runs the estate today together with her daughter Cristiana.

This Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG Alberta 2021 pairs perfectly with red meat, grilled meat or game, or simply on its own as a delicious meditation wine.
