Marsala Superiore DOC Garibaldi Dolce

Rich and intense fortified wine from the Marsala wine region in Sicily, southern Italy, made from Catarratto, Grecanico, Grillo and Inzolia grapes. The vineyards lie in the province of Trapani, on the westernmost tip of the island.

Garibaldi Dolce is Martinez's sweetest Marsala. According to the story, this was the style Garibaldi favoured when he landed at Marsala to unify Italy. The wine gets its deep amber colour from cooked must and matures for a long time in oak casks, with deliberately oxidative ageing. The result is a full, sweet Marsala with a rich, complex character.

This Marsala Superiore DOC Garibaldi Dolce is perfect as a dessert wine or with cake or pastries, chocolate or mature cheeses.
