Castel del Monte DOC Rosé 2025

Fresh and lively rosé wine from the Castel del Monte wine region in Puglia, southern Italy, made from Bombino Nero grapes. The grapes come from old bush vines at 250 to 300 metres on the rocky hills of the Murgia, north-west of Bari.

Bombino Nero is grown only in this area. Its thin skins and juicy berries make it unsuited to red wine, but ideal for fresh, fruity rosé. Rivera uses only the free-run juice that flows from the grapes without any pressing. Small wonder this rosé has always been the pride of the house.

This Castel del Monte DOC Rosé 2025 is perfect as an aperitif, with seafood starters, light soups and pasta, oven-baked fish, poultry or veal.

Since Giuseppe de Corato bought the Rivera estate near Andria in 1921, it has become the benchmark estate of Castel del Monte, an appellation Rivera itself helped to create. Today Carlo de Corato and his sons Sebastiano and Marco, the fourth generation, run the family estate.
