Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Brut RY

Refined and elegant sparkling wine from the Prosecco Superiore wine region in Veneto, north-east Italy, made from Glera grapes. The vineyards lie on the hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, a UNESCO World Heritage site at the heart of the Prosecco area.

RY is Daldin's Prosecco Superiore with no added sugar (dosaggio zero). The grapes come from the steepest, best-exposed slopes of Valdobbiadene, and only around 5,000 bottles are made each year. The result is a distinctly dry, vertical Prosecco: taut and fresh, yet round, fruity and balanced, and lovely with food. The name pays tribute to Riccardo, the passionate winemaker, and to young Ricky.

This Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Brut RY is perfect as a festive aperitif, with charcuterie or shellfish, or as the ideal partner for fish.

Prosecco Superiore, Veneto

In the 1970s, the Daldin family was among the first to bottle Prosecco in Valdobbiadene. Three generations of women – grandmother Lenà, Norma (right in the photo) and her daughter Alessandra (left) – put the estate on the map: the three diamonds on the label stand for them. Their Proseccos are 100% Glera and as dry as possible within each category.
